Water is a precious resource to those of us fortunate enough to live in Southern California. The current water supply shortage has limited this valuable resource.
In response to the current water supply shortage, Olivenhain Municipal Water District has issued a Level 1 Water Supply Shortage with voluntary water-use restrictions encouraged throughout OMWD's service area. Continuing to meet our water needs requires everyone to follow these guidelines and conscientiously conserve.
Device Incentives
Incentives (formerly called rebates) for single-family residential customers are available through the SoCal Water$mart regional program at bewaterwise.com. 888-376-3417
OMWD Incentive Amounts (effective June 1, 2010) · High efficiency clothes washers - $185
· Rotating sprinkler nozzles - $3 per nozzle, minimum of 25 nozzles must be purchased
· Weather based irrigation controllers
o $80 per controller for properties less than 1 acre
o $25 per station for properties more than 1 acre
(Amounts may change at any time and are not guaranteed. Incentive amounts vary depending on local water agency participation. High-efficiency toilet and synthetic turf incentives are no longer offered to OMWD customers. However, some water agencies in southern California may still be offering incentives for these products for their customers. Please visit bewaterwise.com for the most up-to-date information.)
