Facility Tours
OMWD offers tours of the its facilities, including the David C. McCollom Water Treatment Plant and the 4S Ranch Water Reclamation Facility, several times a year. The Olivenhain Dam & Reservoir is owned by the San Diego County Water Authority; please contact SDCWA for possible tour opportunities.

Tours begin at 8:00 a.m. at the OMWD office and end at approximately noon. Reservations must be made by noon on the Monday prior to the scheduled tour date. Tours may be canceled or closed depending on the level of participation. For safety reasons, tours are not held during wet weather. Though this is a shuttled tour, there is some walking and stair climbing required, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing, as well as sunscreen and a hat. Bringing a camera and a light jacket is suggested.

OMWD sponsors several free landscape workshops each year, however, there are currently no workshops scheduled at OMWD at this time. Visit our resources page for information on free on-line workshops, other agency workshops, demonstration gardens, and more.

Local School Programs
Children in school today are the leaders of tomorrow. We realize the important role these children will play in future decisions on growth, policies and water resources. For more information on our free education programs within OMWD's service area, including the CSDA teacher grant program, auditorium performances and custom classroom presentations, visit the OMWD schools page.
Speaking Engagements & Public Appearances
OMWD employees provide outreach services throughout the year, and OMWD speakers can deliver presentations, facilitate discussions and provide general information about water issues for groups, civic organizations and associations.
