Matthew R. Hahn Named President of OMWD’s Board of Directors

At today’s Olivenhain Municipal Water District board meeting, Matthew R. Hahn assumed the position of president of the Board of Directors. Mr. Hahn will serve as president for the 2025-2026 term.

Initially elected to the board in 2022, Mr. Hahn represents Division 4 of OMWD’s service area, which includes the 4S Ranch community. In addition to his duties as president, Mr. Hahn will also serve on OMWD’s Safety Committee, Customer Outreach and Conservation Committee, and Public Policy Committee.

Mr. Hahn has resided in San Diego since 1993. He is a US Navy veteran with over 30 years of service and received his executive master of business administration from Naval Postgraduate School. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas. Mr. Hahn has worked for a Fortune 500 company for over 20 years in environmental compliance.

“The San Diego region continues to face new challenges including supply reliability, wholesale water cost increases, and new regulatory hurdles,” said Mr. Hahn. “I look forward to leading our district to ensure we continue to offer high-quality service, while maintaining our transparency and fiscal accountability.”

Christy Guerin was thanked and honored during the meeting for her service as president for the 2023-2024 term. Ms. Guerin has served on the board since 2011 and will assume the position of Secretary.

Additionally, Neal Meyers will serve as Vice President, Marco San Antonio will serve as Treasurer, and new board member Scott Maloni will serve as Director.
